Morocco is blessed with diversity, from the rugged High Atlas and Rif mountains to sweeping desert, a rugged coastline, and ancient, storied cities such as Fez, Casablanca, and Marrakech — that call you to follow winding alleyways through thriving medinas and souks. Despite steadily encroaching modernity, Moroccan people remain closely connected to the environment. The nomadic southern ‘Blue Men’ brave the desert’s burning expanses in robes and turbans, with mobile phones in hand. Likewise, traditional life continues in the techniques of Berber carpet makers, in date cooperatives, in medina spice trading, and in the lifestyles in mountain hamlets and ports.

DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1 : Casablanca / Welcome

You will be met upon arrival at Casablanca Mohamed V Airport and given VIP assistance in clearing customs and collecting your luggage; then travel by private vehicle to your hotel, located in the heart of the city. Originally settled by Berbers in the seventh century, Casablanca today is the bustling, French-influenced, modern center of Morocco. After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of this port city, stopping at the formidable Hassan II Grand Mosque whose minaret is the tallest religious structure in the world. Part of the mosque’s floor is glass, enabling worshippers to kneel directly over the sea.

OVERNIGHT: Hyatt Regency Casablanca Hotel

Day 3 : Fez

A full day’s tour of Fez begins right after breakfast. Established in 790, Fez is the religious, intellectual and artistic Moroccan metropolis. It’s a baffling network of winding alleys, movement, noise, the smell of tanned leather, and delicate aroma of oriental perfumes, and sweet pastry. With its exquisitely designed Bou Anania Medersa, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum and the Karaouine Mosque (from outside), Fez simply amazes. After lunch, and a visit to the souks, you’ll have free time to explore or relax.

After lunch, you’ll have free time on your own.

Then, a visit to the ethnological museum of Dar Si Said before tackling the medina and Souks Marrakech — certainly the most colorful and the liveliest in Africa — and ending at Jamaa El Fna square, a popular entertainment area with storytellers, snake-charmers, tooth-drawers and traditional dancers.
