From the magical watery world of the Okavango Delta to the wide open spaces of the Kalahari Desert; the bleached salt pans of Makghadikgadi to the wildlife-filled region along the Chobe River, few places can match the diversity of habitats found in Botswana. A leader in conservation and sustainable eco-tourism, Botswana has set aside nearly one third of the country's land as wildlife reserves and national parks. Unspoiled, sparsely settled, and responsibly managed, Botswana offers visitors the chance to experience Africa in its natural state. Most camps are small, remote, and reachable only by air. Herbivores, predators, and birds all flourish in this wildlife paradise; regions like Savute and Chobe offer some of the vest elephant viewing on the entire planet.
DAILY ITINERARY

DAYS 1 & 2: Victoria Falls

Welcome to Zimbabwe! Spend two nights at the Victoria Falls Hotel, built in 1904, overlooking the dramatic Zambezi River gorge within walking distance of the falls. The largest sheet of falling water in the world, Victoria Falls is an epic sight to behold! Explore the falls with a guided walking tour and sunset cruise on the upper Zambezi.

OVERNIGHT: VICTORIA FALLS HOTEL
MEALS: ON OWN ACCOUNT
DAYS 2 & 3: Chobe
A short overland transfer brings you to Chobe National Park in neighboring Botswana. Set on the banks of the Chobe river within the national park, your lodge looks out on a beautiful landscape of marshes and islands teeming with elephants, hippos, and crocodile. Enjoy an unforgettable boat safari on the river in addition to traditional game drives.

OVERNIGHT: CHOBE GAME LODGE
MEALS: B/L/D
DAYS 4 & 5: Savute
In the local language, Savute means "something that cannot be explained" - and refers to the history of the Savute Channel, flowing like a river into the SAvute Marsh and then, without warning, drying up again. Twice-daily game drives feature exceptional wildlife viewing including leopard and endangered African wild dogs. Savute is especially famous for its large population of elephants that frequent the channel beside your lodge.
OVERNIGHT: SAVUTE SAFARI LODGE
MEALS: B/L/D
DAYS 7 & 8: Okavango Delta
Journey deeper into the wilds of Botswana as you fly from your camp in Savute into the Okavango Delta region. Explore the labyrinth of channels and small islands in a shallow draft boat or dugout mokoro. Perched on a tongue of land at the edge of this vast river ecosystem, you can also explore the region by 4x4. Expect to see lots of hippo, the semi-aquatic red lechwe antelope, plus larger game such as lion, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, and leopard.

OVERNIGHT: CAMP MOREMI or XAKANAXA CAMP
MEALS: B/L/D
DAY 9: Okavango Delta & Farewell

Following one last early morning game drive, take a short bush flight back to Maun where you can connect to Johannesburg and all points beyond.
